The 6 week countdown has begun! It is SO hard to believe that Heart and Sole is quickly approaching us. I hope that you have marked your calendar to lace up your shoes for the 5K walk/run on March 3rd and party with a purpose that evening! I am so excited for a wonderful event this year, that I can't stop talking about it! I am truly blessed that the Lord has opened the door and led me down the path to help children through Heart and Sole. If you know me on a personal level, then you know I LOVE HEART AND SOLE! And this is for SO many reasons, yet there is something that I MUST share.

I am the Founder of Heart and Sole - yet I am not Heart and Sole. Reality is that WE are Heart and Sole. When people say to me that I do a great job, I am so quick to try to explain that WE do a great job! WE have donated (not raised, but actually donated to the Children's Medical Center) OVER $150,000 in five years, with the help of over 70 Business Sponsors and you! WE have over 100 volunteers for the 5K and Evening event! WE have over 400 guests to the Evening Celebration in March! WE have grown to almost 1,000 runners that meet at the Children's Medical Center the first weekend of March for the past five years to walk/run for the KIDS!

You may ask .... Who makes up that WE of Heart and Sole?

Doctors, Teachers, Volunteers, Business Sponsors, CMC Foundation, Heart Patients, Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Nurses, Runners, Aunts, Uncles, Brothers, Sisters, Neighbors, Children and YOU!

Over the next 6 weeks, you are going to meet just a small piece of this BIG group. I can't wait to introduce you to part of the Heart and Sole Family. BUT most important, PLEASE know that there is a spot for you!

Georgia Health Sciences Children's Medical Center is a rare gem in the medical community of Augusta,GA. There is NO other Children's Hospital around and you NEVER know when you might find yourself there... My family did in July of 2005. As the voice of Heart and Sole, I personally invite you to join us on March 3rd - WE are making a difference, one step at a time!
