For several decades, Georgia Health Sciences Children’s Medical Center Heart Program has been delivering outstanding medical and surgical care to thousands of children with special hearts. Funding raised through Heart and Sole, Inc. allows medical equipment to be updated, lectureships to build on current knowledge and research to be performed. Activities are also provided such as a week long camp durning the summer for children with special hearts, Camp Strong Hearts. Georgia Health Sciences Children’s Medical Center Heart Program exists of the Georgia Health Sciences University, Georgia Health Sciences Children’s Medical Center and the Children’s Heart Program Volunteer Council, providing balanced health care for the patients and their families. This program evolved from the commitment of incredible physicians and loving families with children that have special hearts. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts!

Our FIFTH Anniversary is here and exciting changes are on the horizon. As we plan for the future, we must strengthen our foundation for growth. In late 2010, we welcomed many new faces to the Heart and Sole Inc. Board of Directors, Advisory Board and Honorary Board. Through the commitment of these individuals and incredible physicians, Heart and Sole will be able to assist in providing balanced health care. And our future becomes brighter, as we foresee the capability of providing extended support not only for the children with special hearts but also for their families through our working relationship with the Children’s Heart Program Volunteer Council.
